Schools in Pakistan

Verified institutions across Pakistan, with the board each one follows, the levels it teaches, the area it sits in and reviews from parents and students. Scoodemy does not rank them — the notes under the list explain how to compare fairly.

How to compare schools in Pakistan

Families in Pakistan rarely choose between a good school and a bad one — they choose between two reasonable ones on the wrong criteria. Five things decide it in practice:

  • Decide the board first: Matric and Intermediate run through your local BISE board, or the Federal Board; Cambridge O and A Levels are the alternative, and a small number of campuses also offer the IB Diploma. This single choice sets the syllabus, the exam fees and the easiest university route, and it is expensive to reverse after Class 8.
  • Draw a 20-minute circle: the commute at 7:30 am, not the distance on a map, is the real constraint. Rule out anything more than about twenty minutes from home at school time before you fall in love with a campus.
  • Class size and who teaches: ask how many children are in the section your child would join, how long the class teacher has been at the school, and what staff turnover looked like last year. These tell you more than the prospectus does.
  • Compare the first-year total: admission fee, security deposit, annual charges, monthly fee, books, uniform and transport — and, for Cambridge, the per-subject exam entry fees paid separately each session. Monthly fee alone is a poor comparison.
  • Campus, not network: Beaconhouse, The City School, Roots and the other networks differ sharply between branches. Judge the campus your child would attend, not the brand on the gate.

Schools in Pakistan by board

Counted from the boards each listing names for itself. A campus that offers two systems appears under both.

Of the 22 listings here, 18 teach O Level, 15 teach A Level, 10 teach Matric and 3 teach Intermediate (FSc / ICS).

How this list is ordered

Scoodemy does not rank schools and does not sell placement. Listings are ordered by how many moderated reviews each one has, then alphabetically — a listing near the top has been reviewed more often, not judged better. Star ratings come only from reviews left by signed-in Scoodemy users, so a listing with no reviews shows no rating rather than a default score. Details such as boards, levels and addresses come from the institution or from its own website, and are checked by our team before a listing goes live.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

🎯 Which school is best in Pakistan?

There is no single best school in Pakistan, and Scoodemy does not rank them. What changes from family to family is the board, the commute and the class size, so the practical answer is to settle the board first, draw a 20-minute circle around home at school time, shortlist three campuses inside it and visit each one. This page lists the schools in Pakistan we have verified, ordered by how many moderated reviews each has, so you can read what other families said rather than take a ranking on trust.

📘 Which schools in Pakistan offer O Level and A Level?

18 of the listings on this page teach O Level and 15 teach A Level. Cambridge schools usually start the O Level syllabus in Class 8 or 9, so a switch from Matric is much easier before that point than after it. Every listing shows the boards and levels it offers in its Details table.

⚖️ Federal Board or Cambridge — which should I choose in Pakistan?

Both routes reach Pakistani and foreign universities. Your local BISE board, or the Federal Board is cheaper, is what most government colleges and the MDCAT and ECAT syllabi are built around, and keeps the FSc route open. Cambridge O and A Levels cost more once you add per-subject exam entry fees paid to Cambridge each session, but are the smoother path to universities abroad and are accepted by LUMS, NUST, IBA and the rest with an IBCC equivalence certificate. Switching after Class 8 is disruptive, so decide early.

💰 How much do schools in Pakistan cost?

Scoodemy does not publish fee figures, because schools revise them every session and most do not publish them at all — any number you read online is usually out of date. Ask each shortlisted campus for the admission fee, the security deposit, annual charges, the monthly fee, books, uniform, transport and, for Cambridge, the exam entry fees. Write the first-year total for each on one sheet; the gap between campuses is often nothing like the gap between their monthly fees.

⭐ Are the reviews on Scoodemy real?

Reviews come only from signed-in Scoodemy accounts and are read by our moderation team before they appear. An institution can not review itself, and a listing with no reviews shows no rating at all rather than a placeholder score.

Students at these schools also use Scoodemy tutors for the same boards and levels, one-to-one and on a monthly plan.
