Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Scoodemy website, apps and services (together, the "Platform"), operated by Scoodemy ("Scoodemy", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. What Scoodemy is

Scoodemy is an education marketplace for Pakistan. Through the Platform you can:

• find and book independent tutors for home or online lessons on monthly plans;
• enrol in live online classes run by the Scoodemy Virtual Academy;
• browse a directory of schools, colleges, academies and universities, and leave reviews;
• as a business account, list an institution in that directory.

Tutors listed on the Platform are independent professionals, not employees of Scoodemy, unless a listing says otherwise. Virtual Academy classes are delivered by Scoodemy through teachers it engages.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 to hold an account. A parent or guardian may create an account and book services for a child under 18, and is responsible for that child's use of the Platform. You agree to give accurate information, keep your password confidential and tell us promptly at support@scoodemy.com if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity on your account.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, is used for fraud or abuse, or has been inactive for a long period.

3. Tutoring plans and trial lessons

Tutors set their own monthly rates, which are shown before you book. A trial lesson may carry a separate fee, shown at booking. Monthly plans run for the calendar period stated at checkout and continue until cancelled from your account; cancelling stops future charges and does not refund the current period unless our refund policy in section 6 applies.

Lessons are arranged between you and the tutor through the Platform. Scoodemy's replacement promise: if a first tutor is not the right match, we will help you find a replacement at no extra platform charge.

4. Virtual Academy

Virtual Academy plans are monthly subscriptions to a set of live online classes for a grade or programme. Timetables are shown before you subscribe and may change with notice. A seat is reserved when you place your order and confirmed when payment is verified; unpaid reservations are released after the hold period shown at checkout. Recordings of classes are provided for enrolled students' personal study and may not be shared or redistributed. Equipment supplied under the one-time equipment fee is yours to keep once the fee is paid.

5. Payments

Prices are in Pakistani Rupees unless stated otherwise. Payments are made through the methods offered at checkout. Where you pay by bank transfer and upload proof, your order is activated once we verify the payment. You authorise recurring charges for any subscription you hold until you cancel it.

6. Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel a subscription at any time from your account; access continues to the end of the paid period. Refunds are considered where a service was not delivered as described, for example a class that did not run or a tutor who did not attend a paid lesson. Requests should be sent to support@scoodemy.com within 14 days of the issue. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method or as account credit.

7. Tutors and teachers

If you apply to teach on the Platform you agree to give truthful information about your qualifications and experience, to hold the right to work in Pakistan, and to deliver the lessons you accept. Tutors are paid according to the payout terms shown in the teacher workspace, less Scoodemy's commission. Tutors must not take a student found through Scoodemy off-platform to avoid fees. We may remove a tutor for poor conduct, repeated no-shows or complaints.

8. Institution directory and business accounts

Business accounts may list institutions they own or are authorised to represent. Every listing and every later edit is reviewed by Scoodemy before it is published, and we may decline or remove a listing at our discretion. You confirm that logos and details you upload may lawfully be used on the Platform. Institution names and logos remain the property of their owners and are shown for identification.

9. Reviews and user content

You may post reviews of tutors and institutions you have genuine experience with. Reviews must be honest, your own, and free of personal attacks, private information about others, or promotional content. All institution reviews are moderated before publication. By posting content you grant Scoodemy a non-exclusive licence to display it on the Platform. We may edit for length or remove content that breaks these rules.

10. Acceptable use

You must not use the Platform to break the law, harass others, send spam, scrape data, interfere with security, or impersonate any person or institution.

11. Intellectual property

The Platform, its design, text, software and the Scoodemy name and logo belong to Scoodemy or its licensors. Course materials in the Virtual Academy are for enrolled students' personal use.

12. Liability

The Platform is provided with reasonable care but "as is". Scoodemy is not a party to the tutoring agreement between you and an independent tutor and is not liable for a tutor's acts or omissions, though we will help resolve disputes in good faith. To the extent permitted by law, Scoodemy's total liability to you in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid Scoodemy in that period. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Pakistani law.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. We will post the new version here with its date and, for material changes, notify account holders by email or an in-app notice. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan and the courts of Pakistan have jurisdiction. Questions about these Terms: support@scoodemy.com.
